McGregor tears ACL, plans to return in 2027
Conor McGregor recently announced that he damaged his ACL and meniscus in his right leg on July 11 in a match against Max Holloway. McGregor injured his leg in the opening round of the Holloway match. That was the first match back for McGregor since 2021, when he suffered a broken left leg during a first-round loss to Dustin Poirier.
McGregor plans to make a comeback to the octagon in 2027 after recovering from his recent injury. In 2027, that will be the final year of McGregor's contract with UFC.
Barkley's house burglerized, family safe and OK
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley had his house raided last Saturday morning by two burglers. his family were unharmed after an attempted burglary of their home. Local Officers were dispatched to Barkley's home shortly after 5 a.m. ET last Saturday morning to a burglary in progress call. The alleged suspects had already fled the area when the officers arrived.
Police are searching for two suspects and released a photo of a white SUV that they believe is connected with the alleged crime. At least one of the suspects entered the house while Barkley and his family were inside the home.
Several professional athletes have been the victim of burglaries in the past few years. This includes NFL players Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow. Seven men have been charged for their alleged roles in those burglaries with one man already pleading guilty and was sentenced last June to two years in prison.
