Lady Vikings beat Titans and Raiders in golf tri-meet

The North Posey girls' golf team competed in their first contest of the season last Thursday afternoon at Cambridge Golf Course, which is the Lady Vikings home venue. North Posey competed in a triangular contest against Gibson Southern and Southridge. This was a nine-hole, par 35 course. Cambridge Golf Course is also the home site for the Gibson Southern golf team as well.

North Posey defeated both Gibson Southern and Southridge in the team scores. The Lady Vikings top four golfers scored a low score of 192 shots. Southridge was second with 195 shots and Gibson Southern in third with 201 shots. Meredith Mann of Gibson Southern was the medalist of this meet with a low score of 40 shots and five above par.

Rhiannon Nellis of North Posey and Laney Bardwell of Southridge tied for second place with 44 shots and nine above par. Emily Schmitt of North Posey and Audrey Spindler of Gibson Southern tied for fifth place with each shooting a 47. Also placing in the top ten spots overall for North Posey were Breanna Nellis finishing eighth with 49 shots and Paxtyn Gibbs in ninth place with 52 shots. Ariah Rhodes of Gibson Southern placed tenth overall with 55 shots.
