Team USA (Indiana Hoosiers) take down Virgin Islands 120-63

The Indiana Hoosier men's basketball team is representing Team USA at FISU Games in Lima, Peru this week from the VES Sports Centre. Last Thursday, was Team USA's second game of this competition playing against Virgin Islands in pool play.
Another easy game for Team USA beating Virgin Islands by the final score of 120-63 to improve their record to two wins and no losses. Virgin Islands record in the games fell to one win and one loss.
Over the last two games, Team USA is averaging 117.5 points per contest. In this game, Team USA made 64 percent of their field goals and 43.2 percent of their three-point baskets. The Team USA bench scored 82 points in the win.
Leading Team USA in scoring was freshman Vaughn Karvala with a game-high 32 points. Karvala made 11-of-14 field goals, 7-for-10 from the three-point area, and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe. Aiden Sherrell had another good game, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds. Sam Alexis scored 15 points, Prince-Alexander Moody with 14 points, and Markus Burton with 11 points.
Next up for Team USA is on Saturday, July 25, when they play Chile in the semifinal game, which will tip-off at 2:00 p.m. CT. In the other semifinal, Argentina will play Virgin Islands. The Championship and third-place games will be played on Monday, July 27.
